When Siti Khadijah was looking to fulfill an internship requirement as part of her undergraduate requirements at Nanyang Technological University, it didn’t faze her that she knew little about the various coding platforms for children. She knew only that she wanted to teach and be an inspiration to the younger generation.
What followed was a thrilling journey into the world of technology and coding. Siti was able to combine her pedagogical knowledge and passion for science with a deep dive into STEAM including virtual reality coding, artificial intelligence, machine learning, web development and other cutting-edge tech education domains.
She enjoyed her internship with ripplecreate so much that she stayed on to be a permanent part of the star curriculum team that has churned out many innovative ideas for large scale coding camps, CCAs, bespoke technology programs and tech-based holiday camps.
Throughout this journey, the mantra that Siti has stood by is “Always be ready to learn, unlearn and relearn”. I think she speaks for the rest of us that in this ever-changing technological age, we should never let our learning be stagnant. The ability to learn and re-learn is the best skill you can equip your child for in an increasingly tech-based future.
Siti had her mini moment of fame when she was featured on page 3 in Berita Harian for her outstanding performance and positive attitude as a trainee with ripplecreate.
